Even death can be beautiful!

Even death can be beautiful!

Even death can be beautiful!

A yellowing litter lays the path, in scattered patches;

An undergrowth, like swelling waves, shooting up on both sides of the path—

And as if to complement, the once dull green now bursting into a spectrum of colors.

The sinuous path meanders and drags patiently;

Beneath its carpet of decaying leaves,

Through the undulating undergrowth.

Untrodden this sunny morning, the footsteps of last evening,

of yesterday already buried deep.

Like castles rooted in their realm, the trees rise from the undergrowth;

They stand quiet and observant, flanked by the cheerful chirping of birds.

The canopies above are transforming;

Some are gilded with gold,

Some washed with yellow,

Some splashed with red.

As the wind sifts through;

The yellowing litter on the path stirs, burying more steps of yesterday,

The canopies shrink slightly, leaving their branches exposed once more.

As the sun shifts its position;

The canopies dress in even more splendid colors—more profound beauty.

Yet all is in decline, shading, dying

And soon, all will fall, all will perish,

Leaving behind mere skeletal stems.

Even death can be beautiful!
