A Journey of glances.
A journey of glances.
A Journey of Glances
On a sweltering afternoon, the bus was packed tight,
Sweat clung to everyone, the air thick and heavy.
Faces blurred together, voices a distant murmur,
Each person lost in their own world, weary and unsteady.
The heat was oppressive, the journey long,
A chorus of sighs and restless shuffling feet.
The road stretched ahead, endless and winding,
As the bus moved forward in the relentless heat.
Then I saw her, sitting by the window,
A vision of grace in the stifling air.
Her beauty struck me like a gentle breeze,
Hair dark and flowing, face serene and fair.
Her eyes, deep and bright, like stars in twilight,
Held a world of mystery, calm and profound.
In that moment, my heart skipped a beat,
I felt dreamily dazed, lost yet found.
I imagined her laughter, her voice like a song,
The warmth of her smile, the touch of her hand.
A life together, filled with quiet moments,
A world where we could both understand.
But as the bus continued, my heart sank low,
For I knew our paths would soon diverge.
She was a fleeting dream in the harsh daylight,
A love unspoken, a silent urge.
Her stop approached, the distance too great,
Panic welled up, my chance slipping by.
She stood, a graceful figure in the chaos,
Our eyes met briefly, a shared sigh.
No words could capture the ache in my chest,
The longing that burned, the silent despair.
She stepped off, taking my dreams with her,
Leaving me with nothing but the heavy air.
The bus rolled on, but I remained still,
Haunted by the ghost of what could have been.
In that brief encounter, a love was born,
And lost in the span of moments thin.
Her memory lingered, a sweet, sharp pain,
A wound that time might never heal.
For in her glance, I saw a future bright,
Yet now I’m left with emptiness, surreal.
I pray our paths might cross again,
In some other life, some other day.
For in that single, silent glance,
She captured my heart and took it away.
